Anthony Collins Getting Work At Offensive Guard In Practice

In the wake of the Travelle Wharton injury, the Bengals are undoubtedly looking at options to fill the depth at the guard position. On Saturday, Joe Reedy of The Cincinnati Enquirer speculated that the team could look at a veteran free agent to plug the hole that Wharton left. As of today, last year's fourth round pick, Clint Boling, is manning the starting spot.

In an interesting move by the coaching staff, backup tackle Anthony Collins was getting second team reps at offensive guard.

If you remember, this experiment was discussed with head coach Marvin Lewis earlier this offseason and he said that the team toyed with the experiment and it wasn't working well. We'll see if the results are different this time around. Collins signed a contract with the club earlier this offseason, after .
