Rey Maualuga did some work on the side during Tuesday's practice while Adam Jones sat out again. Thomas Howard was absent during practice with an illness and Brandon Thompson took the day off. In all there were 16 players that sat our during Tuesday's practice.
Dennis Roland was the latest Bengals player giving it a shot at offensive guard, along with Anthony Collins earlier this week.
There is a certain attention-span being wasted on Chad Johnson from our perspective. We can't help it. He was a ten-year wide receiver in Cincinnati that set most of the franchise's receiving records. Maybe it's just me. I've always had a certain interest with former players with where they're at with their lives, either with another team, doing something great or spiraling into shameful character assassination. In the past 24 hours Johnson released a statement while his wife of six weeks filed for a divorce, released her own statement while a 12-year old domestic battery charge against Johnson surfaced. It's just sad.
The Cincinnati Bengals offense still have plenty of adjustments to make after the preseason opener. Thankfully they have three games and over three weeks to make them.
Cedric Benson was out of the NFL. The Bengals gave him a chance. Helped him rise to prominence in 2009. Then he stopped being \ effective, had a higher complain-rate than a yard/rush average and eventually offered on parting shot.
We offer up a reminder about etiquette for the Cincy Jungle community. Don't worry. We don't have a Starfleet rule book that takes a teraquads worth of hard drive space. It's a simple one-page reminder of how to keep this place clean, and available for everyone of all ages. Remember these rules especially following losses in 2013 -- the Bengals won't lose this year so we won't have to worry about it.
