Ninety minutes before every game, teams release a list of injured or inactive players. Since there's no need for a 46-man active roster during preseason, the inactive list is basically players suffering some sort of injury that's preventing them from playing.
We learned earlier this week that running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis and linebacker Rey Maualuga will miss Thursday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. Players like Robert Geathers, Carlos Dunlap, Bernard Scott, Pat Sims, Shaun Prater, Dre Kirkpatrick and Brandon Ghee have missed significant time or will sit out for the rest of training camp. Other players sitting out Thursday's game against the Falcons include:
- CB Adam Jones
- CB Jason Allen
- WR Ryan Whalen
Linebacker Roddrick Muckelroy will start for Rey Maualuga. Brian Leonard is starting at running back and Jamaal Anderson is starting at defensive end.
