After winning the game's opening kickoff and deferring to the second half, Bruce Gradkowski led the second-team offense on a drive that started so poorly I felt like clipping my toe-nails -- with a steak-knife. Nine yards to go on third down from Cincinnati's 41-yard line (thanks to a great Andrew Hawkins return), Gradkowski took the shotgun snap and watched the sea part before him. He exploited the opportunity and picked up 31 yards on the scramble to Atlanta's 28-yard line.
After a 16-yard gain by Marvin Jones (and a really uncomfortable tackle where he lowered his head), Gradkowski easily found a wide-open Mohamed Sanu in the endzone on second-and-ten, giving Cincinnati a 17-13 lead early in the third quarter.
The touchdown drive spanned 60 yards on six plays in just over three minutes.
