Bengals place-kicker Mike Nugent entered training camp on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list with a hamstring. Unlike the Reserve/PUP, the Active/PUP allows players to return to practice without being forced to miss the first six weeks of the regular season.

And Mike Nugent did just that.

During Cincinnati's first practice inside Paul Brown Stadium, the team's franchise holder for most points scored in a single-season returned on Thursday, leaving defensive tackle Pat Sims (currently on Active/PUP) and cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick (NFI) as the only players out.
