Following news that Kyle Cook's visit with a foot specialist may force him to miss the entire season in 2012, the Cincinnati Bengals hosted veteran free agent center Jeff Faine. On Wednesday the Bengals announced that they signed Faine, a nine-year veteran with the Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Cincinnati reportedly made room by releasing defensive tackle Nick Hayden, a long-shot to make a stacked roster of defensive tackles.

There's also no news regarding the severity of Cook's injury, which Marvin Lewis and the Cincinnati Bengals were waiting on Tuesday afternoon. Rookie Trevor Robinson, who has taken most of the second-team snaps, is expected to start Thursday against the Indianapolis Colts.
