It's no secret that the Bengals are a banged up club right now. Center Kyle Cook could be out for the year (or at least a significant amount of time with an ankle injury), and Jermaine Gresham, Carlos Dunlap, and Rey Maualuga are all nursing sprained knees. There are a number of other starters and backups that are healing up, so the coaching staff decided to rest quite a few players in the unimportant preseason finale against the Colts.
So, in short, don't expect to see the above-mentioned players who man the starting jobs for the Bengals, as well as BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Bernard Scott and Robert Geathers. It's unclear if newly-signed center, Jeff Faine, will be playing tonight as he's only had one day with the club. We'll post more updates as we hear them. As for the rest of the starters who are healthy, don't expect to see much of that group tonight, either.
