Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton was pulled from the preseason finale against the Indianapolis Colts Thursday night with what the team is calling a bruised arm. The starting quarterback told reporters during half time that he's alright, signaling a sigh of relief across Cincinnati -- and everywhere Bengals fans call home.

"I’m good, no problem at all. I just took a hit on the arm, and my hand got feeling a little numb, sort of like getting hit on your funny bone. But it’s fine now. There was just no point in taking any more snaps in this particular game."

Head coach Marvin Lewis told reporters that he'll be ready for kickoff weekend and if this were a regular season game, he'd have returned.

"Andy’s fine. He’ll be fine for Baltimore. He would have gone right back in this game if it had been the regular season."

During a season where injuries have become a primary storyline, it's a significant relief that Dalton's injury is nothing more than a britches-filling scare.
