Though he flashed this preseason, Bengals defensive end was caught up in the numbers game for the second year in a row. According to Joe Reedy with The Cincinnati Enquirer, Evans has been cut by the Bengals today.

Evans is likely to wind up back on the team's practice squad unless he is scooped up by another club. If you remember, the team tried him at outside linebacker last season, but was primarily used as an end and played a bit better this preseason. Best of luck to the former University of Kentucky Wildcat on this tough day.
