General Fear Is That Cornerback Brandon Ghee Broke A Bone In His Wrist

Stay connected for news and updates

Bengals cornerback Brandon Ghee missed Friday's practice after leaving early during Thursday's session. It was originally suspected that he suffered a hand injury. Lewis eventually confirmed that Ghee is injured following Friday's practice, saying that his cornerback has an "owey". Seriously? "Owey"?

What that "owey" is somewhat unknown but Geoff Hobson with Bengals.com writes that the team fears that his wrist is broken.

Lewis could have said the same thing about Ghee, where the fear is he broke a bone in his wrist when he came down on it Thursday night trying to unsuccessfully defend a jump ball to wide receiver A.J. Green in the end zone.

Ghee, a player beset by so much misfortune with injuries since joining the Bengals in the third-round of the 2010 NFL draft, had impressive workouts during the offseason and training camp. Impressive enough that his changes of making the 53-man roster was noticeably increasing every day. However this injury, if indeed a broken wrist, dramatically decreases his chances of making the team this year.
