In a five minute span during Bengals practice on Tuesday, Bengals fans could have felt intense terror, followed by relief. According to Kevin Kelly of The Cincinnati Enquirer, Geno Atkins was injured during a team drill at practice and was looked at by the medical staff. The issue appeared to be in his left knee:
A couple of minutes later, Kelly was correct in his previous assessment of Atkins, as the big guy got back on the field and participated once again, shortly after the injury.
While this may not be Earth-shattering news to some, it is important to keep the tweak that Atkins apparently suffered in mind, as these things can tend to show up on an injury report later in the week. We will update you more when we hear it.
