We opened/dusted the Kevin Zeitler vs. David DeCastro file after the rookie from Stanford was reportedly struggling during Pittsburgh Steelers training camp. Struggling might be a strong word. He's not "setting the world on fire" as many suspected he would. In other news, when asked about being the starter on the team's first depth chart of the season, Zeitler simply said, "It's cool to see it officially on paper." It's quite possible that he said that with thick plastic sunglasses, a confident grin and a Kardashian at his side. He's just that cool.

The mothership hints at speculation that cornerback Brandon Ghee could be out for the entire year. If true then we suspect, at the very least, there could be a settlement at some point. He's not eligible for the PUP and unless the team places him IR, the only recourse would be releasing him with an injury settlement. But then again. Despite his hard work and determination to rebound from a slow start to his NFL career, he was still a long-shot to make the 53-man roster.

Nick Crago writes about his experiences during one of the double-header days in Cincinnati with a Bengals practice and a Reds game.

A momentary shortness of breath when Geno Atkins limped to the sidelines during practice on Tuesday. If you're like me, sometimes digging into the overreaction section of your brain, then you're saying, "for the love of god, never allow that man in a dangerous situation again until the regular season kickoff."

Speaking of injuries, cornerback Adam Jones returned on Tuesday and defensive tackle Pat Sims could return by next week.

Cornerback Leon Hall is expected to start the preseason opener against the New York Jets, 272 days since he tore his Achilles against the Steelers last season.

Bengals linebacker Dontay Moch is getting looks at defensive end during five-DB packages while Micah Johnson is making a more full-time move to defensive end.

Praise continues for undrafted free agent linebacker Vontaze Burfict.

Linebacker Rey Maualuga knows who he is and where he wants to be in 2012.

EA released the top-10 rankings for running backs for Madden 13.

The Bengals made a minor revision on the team's training camp schedule. Essentially they swapped two dates, giving the team Saturday, August 18 off.

writes up a preseason All-AFC North team.
