The 2012 Bengals roster has an interesting mix of very young players and some that are in the tail end of their respective careers. Some of the elder Bengals players have been receiving rest from soreness and muscle pulls so far in camp, though a couple of those players should be returning Wednesday.

Marvin Lewis said (via Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com) that cornerback Jason Allen and defensive lineman Vaughn Meatoga will be returning to practice on Wednesday. Cornerback Adam Jones, who returned to practice on Tuesday, will be practicing once again on Wednesday. The hope is that all of these players will be able to go on Friday against the Jets.

Jones could be especially busy on Friday--not only because of the wrist injury to Brandon Ghee, but also because the staff wants to see multiple players work in the return game on special teams.
