Trent Richardson underwent successful arthroscopic knee surgery earlier today to remove a loose particle in his left knee. This is the second surgery for his left knee this year, both performed by Dr. James Andrews. According to Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland, the Browns "described the surgery as 'successful' and 'routine'".
For Richardson, the question now is whether or not he will be fully healed by the start of the 2012 regular season. The Browns expect Richardson to be ready to face the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1, but of course, nothing is completely certain following a knee surgery. Should he suffer a setback in his brief rehabilitation period, then he may not only be out Week 1, but also questionable to play Week 2 against our own Cincinnati Bengals.
Missing Trent Richardson would be an early season gift for Cincinnati, yet no one is wishing for any setbacks for this extremely talented young running back.
