Waiver wire cuts that could benefit the Bengals in 2012?

Running Backs waived during the final cut round:

Terrance Ganaway. The Jets couldn't find the end zone in the preseason. Ganaway managed to on a reception turned into a TD. A 240 pound running back that can catch? Ganaway rushed for 1547 yards in his senior college year. Adding a 200 yard bowl game to his resume as a final note to his college career. He finished 2012 third in NCAA rushing TDs with 21 TDs.

Tauren Poole. Played a physical style in college and brought that same style vs the Steelers last week. He rushed 7 times for 30 yards. While hauling down 4 receptions for 37 yards. Suffered a concussion, got cut, and will be brought back to the Panthers PS if he clears waivers.

Jonathan Grimes. Rushed 19 times for 93 yards in the preseason. Carrying a 4.9 YPC average isn't enough to win a job in a crowded backfield in Houston. Even 5 receptions for 40 yards couldn't keep the kid on the Texans roster since Foster and Tate were locks from before the start of preseason.

Offensive Lineman waived:

Matt Tennant: The Saints waived their 2010 5th round pick. A local kid born in Cincinnati, played his high school ball at Moeller. Tennant has been solid in time in New Orleans but unable to win the starting job. Tennant getting the axe in New Orleans was considered a surprise to their fans. Think of it as the Bengals cutting Collins since he couldn't win the job from Smith.

Updates as of September 2nd, 2012:

Terrance Ganaway claimed off waivers by St. Louis Rams.

Matt Tennant claimed by the New England Patriots.

Jonathan Grimes signed by Texans to their practice squad.

Tauren Poole cleared waivers and is back with the Panthers on IR.
