Former Cincinnati Bengals fullback James Develin was one of several players released during final cuts. And the emergence of Jourdan Brooks forced Cincinnati to let Develin go without practice squad considerations. Yet much like tight end Colin Cochart (Cowboys) and wide receiver Kashif More (Colts practice squad), Develin eventually found a home.

The New England Patriots website confirmed that Develin signed onto the Patriots practice squad. Before signing onto Cincinnati's practice squad to close the 2010 season, he helped then head coach Jay Gruden win a league championship with the United Football League's Florida Tuskers. Develin spent the entire regular season and postseason the practice squad last year.
