Vidal Hazelton spent three seasons at the Unversity of Southern California before transferring to the University of Cincinnati. There he suffered a major knee injury against Fresno State, the Bearcats home opener in 2010, forcing him to miss the remainder of the season. Hazelton fortunately was signed by the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent following the 2011 NFL draft, waived on August 31, 2011. The Bengals eventually signed him to the team's practice squad two days after Christmas. Though he played all four preseason games this year (three receptions, 23 yards receiving) he was an unlikely candidate to make the team and was released without being signed to the practice squad.
At least he's found a new home.
According to Tennessee Titans beat writer Terry McCormick, the Tennessee Titans signed former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Vidal Hazelton to the team's practice squad.
