Former Cincinnati Bengals tight end Colin Cochart was released during final cuts last week, but within a few days he signed a deal with the Dallas Cowboys, putting him on their 53-man roster.
Until now.
The Dallas Cowboys website announced that Cochart was released, making room for rookie tailback Lance Dunbar.
It makes for an interesting scenario.
The Cincinnati Bengals signed a fourth tight end in Richard Quinn on Tuesday, when the team announced that Kyle Cook was heading to the Injured Reserve/Recall List. It makes one ask if Quinn's prospects with the Bengals are now diminished with Cochart available.
It's also possible that the Cowboys released Cochart for their Wednesday night game against the New York Giants, needing a spot on the roster with the intention of re-signing him once he clears waivers.
