Defensive Turnaround

The Bengals offense looked pretty good early in the season but only produced a 3-5 record partially due to shakey play on defense in a few games.

At the Midpoint of the Season the Bengals defense really took control of the football team and overshadowed the offense the rest of the season. The improved play led to a 7-1 record in the last half of the season even as the offenses play slumped.

Never have I been more pleased by a Bengals unit over an 8 game period, and the run has sparked my imagination of a great defensive dynasty

I am interested to know what factor Bengals fans feel contributed the most to the turn-around and add a comment on anything I forgot.
