Hey look. Another mock draft.
Everyone has their own perspectives on what teams need, who is the top prospects. All of that could flip after free agency and the predraft process, which tends to move players around after Pro Days and the NFL Combine. But all of that is far away and we're here now.
Don Banks with Sports Illustrated puts together his own Mock Draft on Thursday, giving Cincinnati LSU defensive end Sam Montgomery.
If the Bengals decide defensive end Michael Johnson is too expensive to franchise and he gets away in free agency, Montgomery would make solid sense as a first-round replacement. He's not as explosive as fellow LSU Tiger Mingo, but he can find his way into the backfield and gets high marks for consistent effort.
That's the point.
If.
At least the acknowledgement of free agency is applied because what happens from now until April will have a significant impact on whom the team drafts. But being the smartest Bengals fans on the internet, you already knew that.
