We all know that Gradkowski isn't pushing Dalton enough to worry about losing his job. Mike Florio reported today that Alex Smith was going to request his release. i know it has taken him a little while to get his career going but i think he would do just fine in our west coast offense as a back up. In 2011 he posted 3,150 yards, 17 TDs and 5 INTs. I think in our system he would push Dalton for the starting job and we would get better play out of our ginger savior. There was nothing wrong with his play. Kaepernack is a beast and straight up won the job. I think he would be a serviceable back up. What are your thoughts.
