Bengals Safety Chris Crocker Doubtful Against The Texans

Cincinnati Bengals safety Chris Crocker may not have an opportunity to redeem himself after his poor performance last year in the playoffs.

There is concern that Bengals safety Chris Crocker may miss Saturday's game against the Houston Texans. Crocker suffered an injury against the Baltimore Ravens, failing to return despite pleas from the starting safety to defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer that he was alright -- as if players ever speak the truth on such matters.

Crocker maintained that he's ready to play; Lewis played more coy. However Crocker didn't practice all week as the team prepared for the first round of the 2012 playoffs. The Bengals listed Crocker as doubtful during Friday's injury report and it's rare, though not impossible, that someone is doubtful after having missed an entire week of practice and plays that week.

Then again it's the postseason. There is no "saving" for next week if the game isn't won this week.

Cornerback Jason Allen is questionable (though he'd probably have been inactive anyway).
