The second-year safety is being charged for assault and domestic battery.
Cincinnati Bengals safety Robert Sands was arrested at his Florence home Friday morning after being accused of assaulting his wife, according reports. Though he's out on bond, Sands is being charged with assault and domestic violence with an unknown court date coming.
The Bengals selected Sands in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL draft and stayed on the roster throughout his rookie season and the team's Wild Card game against the Houston Texans. He was placed on Injured Reserve after suffering a chest muscle injury during the preseason this year.
