Very early mock draft

Okay. I know it's ridiculoulsy early, but I'm stuck working 6 days a week for awhile, and I thought I'd do one of these because...well, because I'm a draft geek. Here goes.

1. Loucheiz Purifoy, CB, Florida - This guy is a ball hawk, and should immediately start over Dre. If he is already taken, I'd look at his partner Marcus Roberson, Deshazor Evertt from Texas A&M, or Kyle Fuller from Va Tech. CB has got to be addressed, early and late. Dre and Ghee are made of galss, and Newman can't have but one more year in him maybe.

2. Dominique Easley, DE, Florida - Yes, another Gator. He has a torn ACL, so this may need to be watched, but this guy reminds me Dunlap as far as skills go, but without the size. If he isn't healthy, or not available, other options could be Jackson Jeffcoat, DE, Texas, or Brian Stork, C, FSU.

3. Travis Swanson, C, Arkansas - This is a position of need, and could be addressed as early as round 2 if there is fear of a top C being gone, or one is BPA. If taken, Brian Stork, C, FSU, or Andre Hal, CB, Vanderbilt, or

4. Antone Exum, S/CB, Va Tech - Has played both positions in college, and could play either spot in the NFL. The secondary is our weakest position for the future, and the team would do well to address it. If he is gone, maybe they reach for a QB here...Sean Mannion, QB, Oregon State if he comes out would be a nice prospect to groom. Another one could be Jeff Matthew, QB, Cornell. Mannion is the rawer of the 2.

5. Anthony Hitchens, OLB, Iowa - has the talent to be a pro player, and would make an impact on ST's. He may just lead the B1G in tackles again this year. Would be a ST pick with Porter and Lamur both back next year, but may compete with DiManche. Other options are Christion Jones, WR/KR, Alabama - can we finally replace Tate??

6. Tevin McDonald, S, Eastern Washington - had some off-field issues which may steer us clear, but is a burner, who would compete with a weak S core, and would make an impact on ST. Brandon Thomas, G, Clemson might be looked at here, too.

7. LaMarcus Joyner, S/CB, FSU - another guy with KR abilities. Only 5'8", so he'd be a specialist or slot corner at best.

Thanks for playing. Now back to work...
