QB: Andy Dalton (A-)
His strengths continue to be his strengths as do his weaknesses. He wins. Sometimes he looks pretty doing it, sometimes not, and occasionally he falters. If you aren't willing to objectively see Dalton's positives at this point in his career, you probably never will.
RB: Bernard, Green-Ellis, Charles, *Peko. (C)
Gio Bernard is showing flashes of being something special. The Bengals need to utilize Bernard for his abilities, rather than forcing him into a between the tackle North South back. Lawfirm needs to spend his time on the field going North South on 2-4 yard runs, he shouldn't be called on to rush in any other way. His pass protection gets it done for the Bengals. The situation at Fullback is a bit of a mess. The O-line run blocking woes, combined with odd play calling, and lack of a true fullback have affected the running game in Cincy in 2013.
O-Line: A.Smith, Zeitler, Cook, Boling, Whitworth, *A.Collins (B+)
There are two negative things to talk about when discussing the Bengals 2013 O-Line, their run blocking and the play of Kyle Cook. The Bengals O-Line is getting it done when it comes to pass protection in 2013 while their run blocking is a bit underwhelming. At times, Kyle Cook looks replaceable in 2013. Sometimes he's serviceable, sometimes adequate, and never dominating. With the age of Whitworth becoming a concern, how many more full seasons does he have left? A.Collins could start for 1/5th of the NFL teams.
WR: Green, Sanu, M.Jones, *Hawkins (A-)
AJ Green is on pace for his best season as a pro. Sanu continues to flash moments of clutch ability. Marvin Jones earned a nickname for his performance vs the Jets - Mojo. Hawkins return is anticipated by a fanbase wanting to see more weapons on the field. You can never have enough weapons, can you?
TE: Gresham, Eifert (B)
The lack of TDs from this duo has been a bit of a disappointment. Gruden hasn't focused on these two towering TEs at times. Some quarters these two have been forgotten. While other games they've been given opportunities and not delivered. On the whole, combining their seasons together, they've delivered some of what was hoped for before the season started. Gresham's penalties have been cringe worthy some games.
