consistent and better play from Andy Dalton

Andy Dalton has been widely praised for his win / loss record over his career. In the infamous words of #85 "child please!!!!!" Andy Dalton’s win/loss record is largely because of his stellar defense which he continues to put in harm’s way especially this season. Did Andy won Pats games last Sunday or the Steeler game at the end of last season?………..child please.

I won’t compare him to Luck, Wilson, etc. that would be unfair. BUT………..IF we put Cam Newton on the Bengals with the weapons we have the sky would be the limit. Cam’s defense has let him down (Dalton is lucky his picks him up) and sure he has made some mistakes but that’s largely because of his circumstance. Andy Dalton is in ideal place and he is not thriving.

Right now Andy Dalton (is our QB which we embrace because his ours) is a flawed and if he continues on this path will be a back-up in two years. A.J Green has every right to be pissed, he constantly beats coverage deep only to have the ball under or over thrown routinely. Tight ends and backs are open and the balls are over thrown.

Own Bengals team reminds me of Tony Dungy’s Bucs teams in the nineties in that if the defense gives up more the 17 points we have a 90% chance of losing that game (scoring above 20 points is rare).

An average / below average QB (matt Cassel) got R. Crannel fired in Kanas City and a good QB has people signing the praise of Andy Reid with largely the same team.

We can gerrymander what’s acceptable play for Andy Dalton all we want but the absolute long and short of it is we need more consistent and better play from him if we are to go where the talent on our teams says we can go.

Stop touting his win loss record as a reason to count on #14 cause that’s @X!HSX@!.

Side note we may need to franchise A.J. Green if Andy doesn't start playing better............
