The Bengals have played 4 home games and 6 road games. The differences in their performances are startling. Andy Dalton's play difference is very obvious but this home vs road issue is present for all facets of the team.
Passing: more yds/game but lower rating (lower yds/attempt and int % almost double)
Rushing: slightly better at home (more TDs, more total yds) but yds/rush 3.7-3.8 both venues
Defense: twice as many turnovers/game, 35 fewer tot yds/game at home
Special teams: punting average (gross and net) and KO return average much better at home
The Browns are coming to town with a solid defense and a QB who actually is pretty good if he doesn't face a lot of pressure. The stadium though has been roaring the last few home games and I think it's made a noticeable difference on the team's performance at PBS, so hopefully this trend continues moving forward. If we can take care of business at home we should earn a home playoff game, which would be a welcome change for the current regime of players.
