It's the most wonderful time of the year:

Been spending some time with scenarios. Starting with what should be a worst case, It looks like 9-7 will more than likely earn a 4 seed. But even 8-8 would be a fairly likely AFCN title.
If we hold serve at home and win just one of our remaining road games (@San Diego or @Pittsburgh) the possibility of a 2 seed and a first round bye is a very real possibility, if not a probability. Either way, 11-5 should be good for no worse than a 3 seed. And that is HUGE. The 4 seed will face (almost definitely) either KC or Denver, and even a win in that game would just mean a trip to one of those stadiums for the divisional round. A 3 seed would see a home WC game against any number of mediocre also-rans who might scrape into the 6 seed in a top heavy conference. Currently my math is giving that honor to the Dolphins, and I don't see us losing to them again at home.
Bottom line, the win against the Patriots was huge and a win against the Colts would be just as big, possibly giving us a very realistic shot at playing for the AFC championship.
