Looking into the future I can forsee the following:
1. We will beat Indy at home. They are imploding yet will safely win their division, because it is just so damn horrible. They have #4 seed written all over them and they know it.
2. We will beat the Vikings at home.
3. We will beat the Ravens at home if the game matters
I am having trouble seeing what will happen at Pittsburgh. If they are still in the race I unfortunately honestly think we will lose that one.
I think we will beat San Diego but this is hard to say as well.
And then it all comes down to New England. I cannot see them winning out. They have been shaky at times, beating the Saints at home on a Hail Mary, beating the Broncos at home in an OT thriller. They have lost in their division. They still have to go on the road to Miami and to Baltimore. They still have Buffalo at home. They will beat Cleveland and Houston.
I think if we can somehow win out, the loss from New England will be there and we will get the #2 seed.
I think if we lose one (PIT or SD) there is a chance NE loses 2 and we could still get the #2 at 11-5. Otherwise we are #3 seed.
I think 2 losses and we are definitely the #3 seed (as we will beat Indy to hold a tiebreaker over them)
3 losses means we dropped one at home, most likely to Baltimore at the end. If this happens we will likely lose the division to Baltimore, who will likely be that home loss (at the end). They would win the division at 9-7. Pittsburgh will not finish higher than 8-8 tops. I think we still go as a wild card at 9-7.
4 or 5 losses means no playoffs. If we drop 4 or 5 of the last 5 games, with 3 of 5 at home, we do not deserve to go to the playoffs.
