Is Andy dalton the answer I ask all of you? I know there have been to much talk about dalton in terms of what he can and cannot do. I will not divulge into that because we all know by now what he can and can't do. He is a very solid qb in the tier of a flacco and Matt Ryan and even Eli manning. The difference is those qb have big arms are at least a bigger arm than dalton. So again I ask you is he the answer?
Dalton will be up for a contract extension and a contract extension he deserves but at what cost? Me personally I don't think dalton is worth what he might demand simply because he is a product of his talent around him. Even if we where to win a championship with dalton I wouldn't want to go all in like the ravens did with flacco. I think that would be a epic fail to pay dalton and dangle green. Money wise we can't keep both at the price they both would command in the open market. I would love to let things play out and depending on the result either pay him fair price for 2 yr deal I wouldn't commit my future to dalton because he isn't a franchise qb. He is a good qb who has shown to get hot but besides that nothin to warrant your future on. So is a qb who doesn't have that strong of an arm, average ability to read coverages, but a pretty solid leader worth 100 mil if he leads us to a championship next year? I think that would be the question of the year.
I'm pretty upset at the injuries we have sustained this year but I think we will be even better next year with another great off season and all the players we have comin back. I know it's still this year And I'm not at all given up this year. It's more of excitement towards what we could be next year. But fellow cincy jungle readers just a lil food for thought would appreciate any feedback regarding this good or bad thanks for the rant.
