Recently it has been discovered, or I should say confirmed, there is another ligament in our knees oddly enough 97 percent of us have this ligament. As our Mr 97 Geno Atkins just had his own bout with an ACL injury it is interesting to know that it sometimes is to blame for poor recovery after an ACL. The new ALL or anterolateral ligament was suggested in 1879 but just confirmed recently. When people (read athletes) have major damage to their ACL many times they have problems pivoting post recovery, or the knee might give out at times. The ALL may be the primary source of blame. The downside here is it says they're working on a technique to repair all injuries to the knee, but that will take a few years. Heres to hoping Genos Doc is listening in on their conversations : )
