For a team that’s 9-5, there’s a lot right with the Bengals. While "All of the Above" may be the best answer, if you could only pick one thing, what do you think is the Bengals #1 issue at this point of the season?
"Mental toughness": I don’t like this term, but I get it. While the Bengals have had some impressive come-from-behind wins this season, they’ve also sometimes looked like they were in a state of shock and helpless to turn the momentum.
Key Injuries: Simply put, the Bengals are deep, but their 2nd and 3rd stringers are not better than the other teams’ first stringers they're up against.
Poor Coaching: The Bengals have come out "flat" in the 1st quarter all too often and gotten behind early. Sometimes, they’ve dug themselves out, but sometimes the hole is too deep. Or maybe we just lack good game planning and the in-game adjustments aren't enough.
- "Prime Time Phobia": The Bengals play well under-the-radar, but when the nation is watching, they too often choke or maybe "think too much" like Rey Maualuga last year.
- Nothing: Sunday was an unfortunate exception: We’re overreacting to a humiliating loss to the Steelers.
