Why the Ravens game is a must win.

The Cincinnati Bengals have clinched the AFC North with a victory over Minnesota, and a Baltimore beat down from Brady (say that five times). Does the possibility exist that we rest our starters at home next week against the Ravens? One plausible argument would be our guys are banged up; we have suffered significant injuries and it would be utterly demoralizing to sustain another blow one week before the post season. However, there are multiple reasons to win this game, and one reason that makes it vital. Falling to the number four seed, loosing momentum before the playoffs, and ruining our perfect season at home are possibilities that should have the Bengals fired up and playing to win on Sunday.
Even still, none of those possibilities come close to the horror that could occur if the Ravens come into Paul Brown and leave with a win.

If you will, flashback with me to January 3rd, 2010. The Bengals, who had already won the division, were being hosted by an 8-7 New York Jets team fighting for their play off lives. The result, a 37-0 Jets win. A win that propelled them into the post season as a wild card to face none other than, the Cincinnati Bengals at Paul Brown. The result, a 24-14 Jets win. We lost to the same team in back to back weeks. Furthermore we lost to a team , at home in the playoffs, that was only in the playoffs because we allowed them to be! This is the same coaching staff and I hope they have learned their lesson. Lets be the only team to represent the AFC North in the post season. Put the Ravens out. Send them home. Don't even give them the chance to see the light of day. Who Dey!
