According to one NFL Insider, the Cincinnati Bengals aren't likely re-signing middle linebacker Rey Maualuga, who becomes a free agent this March.

It's not so much a surprise. Speculation has bubbled around circles among beat writers, insiders, basement-filled bloggers and fans. After having such a poor postseason effort against the Houston Texans, along with the rise of Vontaze Burfict, it seems that middle linebacker Rey Maualuga will be sending out his Linkedln address to potential employers after becoming a free agent in early March.

According to what NFL Insider Adam Caplan is being told, the Cincinnati Bengals won't likely re-sign Rey Maualuga.

Maualuga told Joe Reedy with the Cincinnati Enquirer last month that he wasn't sure, based on his performance late in the season, if the Bengals would even re-sign him.

"I really don’t know if they want me back. It’s something I guess my agent will work it out with them, and I’m just going to go through the process like everybody else does and see how it goes, as far as visiting teams and talking to other coaches. I’ve never been through this process yet. I’m just going to go through it and see how it falls into place."

There are some tabbing Maualuga as an eventual backup player for the Baltimore Ravens.
