The Case For Trading Back into Round 2

As it stands right now we have 8 picks in the 2013 draft. If we trade back from 21 to 38 or 39 we would end up 5 picks between 37 and 85. Considering our needs this year and studying numerous draft boards 5 picks between 37 and 85 falls right in our wheelhouse. Last year the picks alternated between offense and defense starting with Kirkpatrick at 17 so I believe the first pick will go to the offense this year in the interest of fairness and again they will alternate. This is how I would like to see the draft play out.

2a - RB Lacy if available if not WR Austin/Woods/Patton

2b - SS Elam/Cyprien

2c - RB Ball/Randall/Bernard or WR Dobson/Rogers/Hunter (depending on 2a)

3a - OLB Porter/Moore

3b - OT Armstead

4 - DB BPA

5a - OL BPA

5b - DE/MLB BPA

6a - RB Williams/Stacy/Wood

6b - Defense BPA
