2013 NFL Free Agency: Dolphins Likely To Move On From Reggie Bush

Andy Lyons

One of the biggest names circling around the free agent market seems likely to be available on the open market, per a report. Recent news on Reggie Bush has been differing over the past couple of weeks.

The rumors and controversy seems to constantly surround Reggie Bush, doesn't it? After a couple of productive seasons with the Miami Dolphins, the exciting running back was looking set to hit the free agent market. While he'd likely command a relatively hefty contract, it's unclear how many suitors he would have if on the open market.

First, we heard that the Dolphins weren't going to bring back Bush and will be looking in a different direction. Then, we heard that the Dolphins were indeed going to try and bring him back as a valued member of the team. Now, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport tells us that the situation could be changing once again.

According to Rapoport, the Dolphins will not look to re-sign the eight-year veteran and view him "more of a luxury than a building block". The team seems willing to give increased opportunities to second-year back Lamar Miller and third-year man Daniel Thomas. They may also look at the draft's deep running back class to add to the group.

Bush has the type of skills that would fit nicely in CIncinnati, namely speed and the ability to catch the ball, but his age could turn them off. Even though Bush has low mileage on the tires for a player entering his eighth season, the Bengals are likely going to look at the draft at the position themselves.
