In a not-so-surprising move, the Philadelphia Eagles have released veteran cornerback, Nnamdi Asomugha. He was a major free agent signing back in 2011, but really fell from grace (along with the rest of the Eagles) last season and didn't look like the same Pro Bowler that we saw from the mid-2000s when he was with the Oakland Raiders.
The move signals an overhaul at the position for the "Iggles", as they are also letting Dominique Rogers-Cromartie test the free agent market. The "Dream Team" from the 2011 season has almost all but disbanded because of a huge collapse last season.
Which players that new head coach Chip Kelly brings in will be an interesting sight, as he'll likely have a lot of say in the team's roster. Either way, Asomugha won't be in their plans, especially after the team tried to restructure his contract and couldn't reach an agreement.
