It sounds like the 2013 Dolphins are trying to compete with the 2011 Eagles for the newest "Dream Team". For their fifth new acquisition of the day (yes, FIFTH), the Miami Dolphins have signed outside linebacker Phillip Wheeler, formerly of the Oakland Raiders and Indianapolis Colts. ProFootballTalk reports that the contract is valued at $26 million, with $13 million guaranteed over five years.
Wheeler was someone that many Bengals fans and media members pointed to as a god fit for Cincinnati (including our own Joe Goodberry). Wheeler plays the SAM outside linebacker position and the Bengals have a big need at that position.
And, in case you need reminding, the Dolphins were right up there with the Bengals in having the most available cap space this season.
