Sims was a third-round pick for the Bengals out of Auburn in 2008 and he has made his name as a solid run defender. Sims stands at 6-foot-2 and weighs in at 335 pounds and is like a brick wall when it comes to plugging holes on the defensive line.
Unfortunately, he has had several injury issues in the past. He missed eight of the team's 16 games in 2012, five in 2011 and five more in 2008. The only complete season he played in was 2009. In his five seasons with the Bengals, he has made 138 tackles, five sacks and one interception.
Sims, when healthy, has been a major part of Mike Zimmer's defense as he is likely the team's best run defender on the defensive line. He is also an unrestricted free agent.
