Though Rey Maualuga currently lives in the team's doghouse after disappointing seasons at MIKE, the Bengals are still hoping to bring him back at SAM. But another team is interested.
At this point Rey Maualuga has visited with the Arizona Cardinals, though he reportedly departed without signing a deal; Jasper Brinkley, a linebacker with the Vikings, visited soon after. They has been speculation that the Baltimore Ravens could be interested after Dannell Ellerbe left for the Miami Dolphins and Ray Lewis retired earlier this year.
Let's add another team.
When asked if the New York Giants are going after any linebackers, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter tweets that they have "some interest" in Maualuga.
RT @darinawad1: Giants going after any serious LB's? ... Have expressed at least some interest in Bengals LB Rey Maualuga.

There's a belief that the Bengals are still interested in Maualuga, writes Geoff Hobson with Bengals.com. But only as a SAM linebacker. Currently the Bengals have three linebackers possibly fighting for the SAM position, from rookie Brandon Joiner, draft bust Aaron Maybin to chronic migraine sufferer Dontay Moch.
