The Bengals have shown interest in a few tight ends. The latest is Kellen Davis, per Albert Breer.

The Bengals have shown some interest in a few tight ends this offseason and the latest, according to reports, is former Bears tight end and unrestricted free agent Kellen Davis, per Albert Breer.

Davis is a former fifth-round pick out of Michigan State by the Bears in 2008. He hasn't missed a game in his five-year career but he has been a backup and special teams contributor more than he has as a pass-catching tight end, though he has been a red zone threat. In his career, he has caught 47 passes for 529 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Davis is a good blocker, both powerful in the run game and solid in pass protection. He also has great size, standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing 267 pounds. He has decent speed, though he won't be able to stretch the field, but he's a raw route runner.

Davis won't overthrow Jermaine Gresham, if he's signed, as the team's starting tight end, but he could be an extra weapon for Andy Dalton along with second-year tight end Orson Charles.
