2013 Draft Day Scenario

Bengals are on the clock and the phone rings. It's Minnesota who is looking to get ahead of St. Louis in order to select WR Tavon Austin (or WR Keenan Allen, depending upon who's left and how well Allen runs at his pro day April 9th). We would be able to move down only two picks and acquire a 2014 4th round pick (est. value 82 "points" = difference in value between pick #21 and pick #23).

Would you make this trade? If we are able to resign Andre Smith, I don't see any major holes that can't be filled just as well at pick #23. Vaccaro will probably be off the board so we can use a 2nd round pick to grab a safety. Beyond that I think it's a logjam of guys that don't have a lot of talent separation.

Future picks are perhaps more valuable for Cincinnati given the current depth on the roster and the fact that we already have a plethora of picks in this year's draft.
