The NFL draft kicks off in exactly 5 weeks (35 days).

OK, so it doesn't 'kick off', as there is no kick-off. But it begins in 35 days. You know what I mean. And I know what you mean - maybe some of you.

The Combine is over. Pro-Days are wrapping up. The first wave of Free Agency has come and gone. The Bengals have yet to bring in any real outside help, and have yet to sign their primary free agents (MJ93 and Andre Smith), and they still have yet to extend the likes of Geno, AJ, Dunlap.

So in this dead time (yes, when our biggest news is that guys like Mike Goodson & Mike Mitchell visited Cincy, it's dead time), let us try to celebrate what, if anything, there is to think about between now and the NFL draft:

WEEK 5 (March 24 ~ March 30)

Holy Week. Good Friday. - Pray. Pray some more. Fast and Pray.

March 25 is International Waffle Day! Waffle House or International House of Pancakes pilgrimages may apply.

WEEK 4 (March 31 ~ April 6)

Easter Sunday - go to church, come home and induce a sugar coma with chocolate bunnies. See relatives and remember why you see them so rarely.

Library Week - go to the library, check out a book. then realize your library card is 5 years out of date.

April 6th - Plan you Epitaph Day. What do you want them to say when you die? (besides "good riddence")

WEEK 3 (April 7 ~ April 13)

April 9th - Winston Churchill Day

... Winston Churchill...."A fanatic is one who can't change his mind, and won't change the subject."

... Winston Churchill - "If you're going thru hell, keep going."

... Winston Churchill -"I may be drunk, miss. But in the morning I'll be sober, and you will still be ugly."

April 10th - Golfer's Day. Hit the driving range. realize your slice didn't magically improve during the winter.

WEEK 2 (April 14 ~ April 20)

April 14th - Ex-Spouse Day. I'm not sure Hallmark makes a card for this holiday, but if they did....

April 14th - Patriot's Day. What? No Bengals' Day? Whatever!

April 15th - Titanic Remembrance Day. First the Patriots, now the Titans? We need Bengals' Day!

April 20th - Volunteer Recognition Day. Does volunteering my opinion on CincyJungle count as being a volunteer?

WEEK 1 (April 21 ~ April 28)

April 22nd - National Jelly Bean Day. Finish off the rest of your Easter Candy that you still have around the house.

April 25th NFL draft begins!!!
