My 10 picks by the Bengals
if they resign Andre Smith and Newman. Which would eliminate them drafting a offensive tackle and cornerback early in the 2013 draft.
1. Kenny Vaccaro safety from Texas. I think this would be a major upgrade in the safety department for the Bengals. There are questions about his tackling which could help him slide to the Bengals at #21.
2 A. Margus Hunt defensive end from SMU. A total BPA pick here that you can not pass up on. This guy is a athletic freak of nature but is extremely raw only started playing football four years ago. With either Dunlap or Michael Johnson leaving as a free agent $$ in a year or two he can be a replacement when one of them leave. Hunt is 6-8 285 pounds ran a 4.60 40 time and had a vertical of 40 inches insane. But is inconsistent and played at a small school. Needs a year or two to learn the game.
2 B. Andre Ellington Running Back from Clemson. Speed baby speed thats what he gots and thats what the Bengals need. Not a everydown back but a absolute great complment back. He would provide Dalton a great weapon in the passing game as well.
3. Travis Kelce Tight End from Cincinnati. Love this guy very very underrated. He is good at everything he does just not great at everything which is why he lasts to the late 3rd round. I know you are saying well we have Gresham and just drafted Orson Charles last year. I know but Gresham contract is up soon and he is not guaranteed to get resigned. And Charles needs some competition. Plus Kelce is a upgrade over Richard Quinn
4. Sio Moore outside linebacker from Connecticut. good tackler and good speed. Not much of a pass rusher but is solid coverage. Needs too get stronger but in a couple of years could be a starter.
5. Omoregie Uzzi offensive guard from Geogia Tech. He comes from a run first school obviously but his size and strength and is a great athlete for Paul Alexander to develop into a good pass blocker too.
6 A. Denard Robinson Athlete from Michigan. This guy could line up anywhere on the field RB/QB/WR/KR his speed would be a asset to the Bengals. Most likely to challenge and hopefully win the Kick returner duties from Brandon Tate
. And he obviously has work to do on the offense side of the ball. Reminds me a whole hell of a lot like Joshua Cribbs
. Thought he would go undrafted but I heard teams like his return abilites.
6 B. Marc Anthony Cornerback from California. Zimmer style corner who can hit and tackle doesnt have great speed and has durability issues. Like the way he plays and can challenge Ghee,Prater and Lewis Harris for a CB spot.
7 A. Kyle Juszczyk Full back/Half back from Harvard. this big bruiser can run and catch. With the uncertainty of Pressleys injury Juszczyk can make a run as the starting Full back job. Watch the senior bowl of him. 52 catches for him last year wow.
7 B. Sean Renfree Quarterback from Duke. He is solid and will likely beat out Zac Robinson
for the 3rd string job.
Grade this draft for me.
Thanks for reading it.
