Personally, give Smith his 9 million and be done with it. According to NFL.com Smith is a more dominant more athletic version of Fluker. Why talke the chance on the draft or step back with Vollimer or the like in FA. But supposing it happens where would the Bengals drafts plans change. Whitworth to RT and Collins to LT, don't see it unless it was an absolute emergency. Bengals would've done this already if that mix was better. What about Wharton at RT? Don't see that either. But I do know this Whit is starting to age, if Bengals don't sign Smith take Fluker this year if he's there and next draft Whit's heir and hope he's flexible enough to play guard until Whit's contract is up.

Could Whit play RT - he'd be better than Bolig at LG. IMO
