If the Cincinnati Bengals are looking for a running back to compliment BenJarvus Green-Ellis, it probably won't be Dolphins running back Reggie Bush.
Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush has been viewed by some fans as a favorable option, partnering with BenJarvus Green-Ellis for a long-desired two-back system that Cincinnati has envisioned. Considering Cincinnati has money in the vault for dominating free agent acquisitions, or as we're led to believe, Bush became the easy target.
According to Armando Salguero with the Miami Herald, there are three teams showing strong interest in Bush and that the "money involved in those talks is significant".
The source would provide no details of the money or name the teams but it is clear the interest in Bush isn't just of the making-a-call variety.
Running backs have slowly crawled off the market with Chris Ivory receiving a second-round tender by the New Orleans Saints and LeGarrette Blount signing a one-year deal with Tampa Bay this weekend.
Cincinnati signed running back Cedric Peerman to a two-year deal earlier this week.
