Here we go. The draft is less than 2 weeks away, and as we all know it, the Bengals
are looking for an upgrade at the RB position, and to complement BJGE. It is known that the FO is looking for some speed to add to the backfield, something that we Bengals fans have not seen in quite some time. However, it's truly not clear who the Bengals highly value and who is being used as smoke screen. We will just have to wait and see what happens. Most of us Bengals fans want to draft a RB within the first two rounds, especially in round two where Lacy, Franklin, or Bernard would be available. We could even wait it out to round three and pick up backs like Ball, Bell, Ellington, or Barner. All of these backs would be able to come in and contribute immediately. But since this is such a deep RB class, I really would like to see the Bengals double dip in this year’s RB pool, as most of us would like to see. Everyone is looking for the next Arian Foster
, or just from last year’s draft, Alfred Morris
or Vick Ballard. Here are my top 5 RB sleeper candidates. All these backs should be available from rounds 5 - 7. I would love to see the Bengals gamble some and draft one of these guys as I feel they have the size, speed, and skill to be successful in the NFL. Very decent and well-rounded backs here. Sure, they all have some flaws, but one of them could possibly be that gem. What I would like to know from my fellow Bengals fans is, which one of these backs would you draft? Especially, if we only took one RB within rounds 1-4 and all the big name backs everyone is familiar with are off the board. Which one of these backs could be that gem?
1. Michael Ford, LSU - 5'10, 210lbs, 4.42 speed
2. Cierre Wood, Notre Dame - 5'11, 213lbs, 4.46 speed
3. Zac Stacy, Vanderbilt - 5'9, 216lbs, 4.53 speed
4. Latavius Murray, Central Florida - 6'3, 223lbs, 4.3 speed
5. Knile Davis, Arkansas - 6'0, 223lbs, 4.35 speed
I apologize in advance. I tried to add pics and a poll, but I am in Afghanistan and the internet is not so great.
