Just another mock (with links)

I love the mocks that start off with "I assume we resign Smith, sign Dansby and Rhodes....

here is what I assume. I assume we're still the bengals and we sign nobody! That said, here we go....

1 Kenny Vacarro, SS - yea, I think it's wishful thinking hoping he is left on the board, but I can't see another pick I think makes sense and is likely on the board. I think a trade down is in the works, possibly into the top of the second where teams in need of a QB will want to move up to beat the run on Barkley, nassib and Manuel. There we could look at Ried or Cyprien and add an additional third. I get excited at the thought! But, playing the hand I'm dealt, Vacarro is the chioce.

2 Giovani Berbard, RB - ok, I promise all my picks won't lack this creativity. I really think he is the best fit and in order to make the rest of the draft fall where I wanted, I had to get rb out of the way. Really like his hands in the backfield and is the perfect change of pace to BJGE. I love his attitude as an every down back, but he needs to block better before he can take on the load.

2b Barrett Jones, C - We need a lot of upgrades along the o-line. If we lose Smith, we can help replace that production with an upgrade at the center position. He does that and more. And he can be versatile, a major plus as this line takes shape after the smith departure.

3 Quanterus Smith, DE - Thats right boys, theres a new Smith in town! I think I'm going to get some flack for this one. DE is not an immediate concern. If he didn't get hurt at the end of his season, he would be long gone here. Fortunately we have the perfect situation for him, plenty of time to heal and a spot for him to start in 2014 all while keeping that depth Zim loves.

4 Eric Herman, OG - Rotational guard, depth on the line and future starter.

5 Ricky Wagner - OT How about we plug him right next to his college teammate Kevin Zeitler and forget about what's his name and those flabby ...... Never mind...

6 Kerwynn Williams, RB - you want speed? You want take it 80 on a gadget play? You want a game changer and toy for Gruden to play with? This is your guy! Not going to carry any load, but will look nice separating from a db down the sideline.

6b. J.J. Wilcox, CB - developmental CB. lots of potential, needs time to learn the position, fortunately we have the time to spare with position depth for two years.

7 Jake Stoneburner, TE - The one time WR is an eventual replacement for Gresham. Needs time to learn to block at the NFL level. Could be used as a passing threat in two TE sets, although I see him more as a practice team guy year 1.

7b Allen Bonner - Who needs Denard Robinson in the 3rd Mel Kiper? Give me return man and gimmick WR Allen Bonner in the 6th or later. One of the most elusive players the the draft. Burn Bonner burn!

I know, I know. It's not how you would do it! So show me how to make it better! This guy is too high and he won't be there in round X.... It's all fun! And for creating conversation, so let it fly!
