Fluker or anyone else taken the first day doesn't mean we breathe easy. Zeitler was great last year, but even smith was practically a bust his first two years. Linebacker, tackle, Safety, halfback depth....we could get great picks at these positions and still take a step back next year.
Im happy with the FO strategy. But things still need to be done! If we have to move on from smith...ok, but we have to get someone signed at tackle. Do we really feel that Collins can keep the o-line solid? Do we feel confident that Wharton can return to form? (At a new position none the less). Lamur at outside? Do we trust that Maybin or Joiner or Moch can come in and solidify our core?
I'm fine with seeking an upgrade at safety in the draft, and trying to nab that offensive playmaker (even our main option for HB depth), but 4 positions with immediate need is too much. We have a chance to take a giant step forward as an organization. BPA in the draft is the best way to do that in my opinion. Do you really feel that we can draft BPA right now?
