2013 NFL Draft: Detroit Lions Select BYU Defensive End Ziggy Ansah

With the number five pick in the 2013 NFL draft, the Detroit Lions have selected BYU defensive end Ziggy Ansah. Ansah is arguably the best (depending upon who you asked) edge rusher in the draft and the Lions were fortunate to draft him at the number five spot after the Dolphin's surprising trade into the top three to get Oregon DE Dion Jordan.

The move makes a lot of sense for a Lions team in need of a powerful outside defender. Ansah is a very raw prospect, having only played essentially one year of collegiate football, but is a freaky athlete and will likely be a "boom or bust" player for Detroit.
